About Forum
Hong Fook Mental Health Association and the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea co-hosted a forum dedicated to improving the Korean community's mental health. We focused on exploring, advising, and transforming mental health care within the Korean-Canadian community, emphasizing equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). Over 50 community partners and stakeholders joined us to engage in discussions with mental health experts and stakeholders and play a pivotal role in leading mental health initiatives in the Korean Canadian community.
Purpose
- What opportunities and challenges do Korean communities face in mental health and well-being?
- How can we collaboratively explore, advise, and transform mental health care within the Korean-Canadian community, ensuring a comprehensive approach from promoting wellness to managing illness?
