January 24, 2024-Hong Fook featured in the 14th annual Bell Let’s Talk awareness campaign

post jan 10 kickoff

January 24 is #BellLetsTalk Day! We’re excited to be featured as one of many incredible organizations that are creating real change in mental health in Canada.

Thanks to the incredible support of Canadians and partners like you, over the past 13 years, Bell Let’s Talk campaign has created a social movement around mental health, and while we have come so far, we still have work to do. The 2024 campaign – Let’s create real change - highlights the voices of real Canadians and mental health organizations, such as Hong Fook, across the country providing supports and services to inspire us all to take action.

We are also proud of being one of the only ten 2023 Bell Let’s Talk Diversity Fund recipients across the country. The Bell Let's Talk Diversity Fund supports organizations working to reduce the stigma of mental illness and increase access to culturally informed mental health and well-being support for BIPOC communities. Since the launch of the Fund in 2020, 49 organizations from across the country have received grants.

Our ED Andrew Chung shared "the Bell Let's Talk Diversity Fund is essential to facilitate the growth of our well-established Recovery College. As the only language-specific Recovery College in Canada, Hong Fook is expanding this coproduction model to the broader Asian communities in the GTA. We express our gratitude for this grant, which will ensure more individuals with mental health challenges access culturally competent resources sooner, gain better control over their lives, foster positive relationships, and enhance their readiness for employment."
